This is a site that aims to help people lose weight. There is no magic formula with which you can achieve weight loss, but look on the bright side that means that there is no cost involved. This site is not an advertisement, but it is based on my experience and thoughts. But as you will see, the method I suggest is completely harmless but you do need to be rigorous and never break the rule of just enough. There is a really quick result. This is a very basic outline and I assume that you can eat whatever and whenever you want. (Which is unfortunately not the case most of the time.) However, still food for thought, so to speak, let’s begin! The magic words are ENOUGH and METABOLISM.

First before you embark on any sort of diet, you need to make sure that you have no medical problems. For instance if you are constipated it will be almost impossible to lose weight, so if you have constipation make sure you find the cause. (For instance it could be your thyroid! But if it is diet related my method will clear it up for you.)

The two basic ideas (those two magic words) behind losing weight are very simple. First eat JUST ENOUGH. Not how much you want or the amount that fills your tummy properly, eat instead just the amount that is enough so you are not hungry. (That amount is different for every individual and depends on all sorts of factors such as age, sex, lifestyle, genes etc.) As soon as you eat more than enough your body will store the excess calories as fat. Also, if you let yourself go hungry then your body will think the same. ‘When am I going to eat again? Probably not when I will be hungry next time, so I’d better switch to store mode.’ This all dates back to our ancestors, when food was scarce and fat storing was beneficial. Moving on, you should drink a glass of water before meals, and more generally, make sure you drink enough, sometimes you are not even hungry, just thirsty. Always eat slowly, never ever binge eat, and never let yourself go hungry. Second, you want to accelerate your METABOLISM. Just by eating enough will accelerate metabolism, but better still, eat as many times a day as you possibly can. 10 times if you can. But always small portions: portions that never leave you famished, just make your hunger go away, and if you feel that you could eat/ feel like eating a bit more, just then stop yourself. Just enough remember? Tell yourself that you can eat in an hour or half an hour. (Chances are you will not be so hungry after 3 minutes anyway.)

Now to what you should eat. Even if you eat just the bare minimum of junk foods, you are bound to lose weight. But why would you not want to eat healthily? Eating healthily will bring benefits in the long term and also make weight loss faster. If I had my way I would tell everyone that they should not eat sweets or pasta or whitebread. Just wholemeal bread and brown rice. I used to have a sweet tooth and then I stopped eating sweets and cakes and the like. It was hard in the beginning but now I don’t even like chocolate or doughnuts anymore. Food combining is what helps you lose weight, that means no carbs and protein together. (No meat and potatoes together for example, but just google ‘food combining’.) And 3 hours between carbs and protein. Eat plenty, plenty and even more vegetables. Before eating meat, which should be lean, white meat (though you do need fats as well, so a bit of sausage or chips for that matter because of the oil is actually beneficial), before all meats, have some apple to help you digest. Apples always on their own and before meals. More generally, you should only eat fruit by themselves and in the morning, not in the evening. In the evening it is better to have protein.

Now over to exercise. If you want to lose weight do something vigorous (that gets the heart pounding) for at least 20 mins at once. After a workout session eat protein. But again do not binge eat. Eat just what is enough. You can eat again in an hour. But you need to eat after doing exercise. Exercise is important to your well-being and bodily functions, but is not necessary for weight loss. Eating habits are much more important. Though for successful and fast weight loss I would recommend taking exercise.

Well that is it really. Eat just enough, never go hungry and try to eat very often. As simple as that. It will be hard to eat just enough and you might not know in the beginning just what enough is. But after a really short time you will find that you do know, and that is when you should stop eating. Resume eating in an hour, but never eat more that enough. Good luck. Anyone can do it. No one is predisposed to be fat. Prepare for wonders. (And the overhaul of your wardrobe.)
